About The Artwork
This painting was part of a series called Legends inspired by Haiku poems, dancers from Ballet Rambert, and composer Anthony Adams. I made drawings of the choreography in the Ballet Rambert Studios in Chiswick High Road in London, and Sadlers Wells Theatre at the time; collaborating with composer Anthony Adams. In 1983 along with 7 other paintings in the series it was exhibited in the Lyttelton Foyer of the National Theatre.
