ABOUT ANNA ANNA ART Anna Kozlowski is an internationally known artist with over 230 paintings sold across four continents. Her unique style - developed over the past twenty years combines paints, various textures, glazes, waxes, and top coats which imbue each painting with its own day/night cycle. As light hits the various waxes and metallic glazes, the paintings seem to be in a state of perpetual change, always shifting with the environment. This modern and impressionistic style appeals to people of all ages making each painting a one of a kind master piece. EARLY YEARS As a young girl growing up in Poland, Anna was influenced by her home: living off the Baltic Coast. She used colors and distinctive designs to transform her small bedroom into a piece of art. As she grew up, Anna traveled throughout Europe and Scandinavia which influenced her artwork in a big way. Her passion for art only grew and she eventually enrolled in Liceum Sztuk Plastycznych art school at the age of 15. At school she was exposed to all forms of art including paintings, drawings, sculptures, ceramics, photography, artistic welding, and jewelry. She graduated after five years with a Bronze sculpture major. Big Dreams and a Small paint brush Upon successfully finishing her intense art education, Anna came to the United States with big dreams and a small paint brush. Many years of studying artwork exposed her to the wonderful world of the metallic medium. Metallics gave her the opportunity to intrigue her viewers: paintings would change, throughout the day with light and shadow. Each time you pass one of you rediscover it again and again. In her own words Thank you for taking interest in my art work. As a professional artist, I can assure you that I strive to make every piece unique and of highest quality. My paintings are a part of my soul, and when I create them, I feel like a kid in a candy store always grabbing for another yummy treat to add to the canvas. When I'm in the process of creating, each work brings a voice that speaks to me directly, sometimes it calls for me to slow down and wait until the next day or to add a little bit more texture before the painting can be complete. It's almost as if the paintings themselves have a vision for me - of which I have no control.
