"Still No Rest" Painting

Heather Weston is a designer, book artist and painter working primarily with paper, and acrylics on canvas. At the heart of her work is an fascination with the human condition, and more precisely, how our unconscious impacts our daily lives. Art has a uniquely powerful place within this subject matter, as it has the ability to bypass rational, conscious thought and reach directly to the unconscious core of us. Her book art examines many taboo subjects that are suited to the narrative medium. Her paintings deal with similar subjects but in a powerfully abstracted way. Heather's book art is collected widely and can be found nationally and internationally in collections as diverse as The British Library, Tate Britain, University of Southampton Collection, Sloane Art Library, US, and 40 other collections across the States.
