This painting, created with a palette knife using vibrant and bold oil colors, depicts a vivid landscape with expressive yellow skies, fields, hints of mountains in the distance, and occasional trees between the fields and mountains. Inspiration for this painting can come from various sources, but such landscapes are often associated with strong emotions such as longing, admiration for nature, or nostalgia for rural landscapes. The artist may hope to evoke deep emotional responses from viewers and take them on a journey through the beautiful nature depicted in the painting. The yellow sky may symbolize warmth or energy, while the distant mountains add depth and dimension to the space. Trees and fields can emphasize the harmony between humans and nature. The choice of an expressive style, using a palette knife and strong, clean colors, may be a way to emphasize the intensity of feelings and express a subjective view of the landscape. This approach allows the artist to convey their emotional state or inner experiences onto the canvas in a way that can be very powerful and suggestive to the viewer. The palette knife enables rougher textures and a more dynamic appearance, while strong and clean colors can enhance the emotional impact of the painting on the observer.

Jelena Vragović was born in Vršac, Serbia in 1973. She is a member of ULUS and ULUPUDS. She had independent exhibitions in Belgrade, Vršac, Pančevo, Novi Sad, Kučevo, Dimitrovgrad, Arilje, and Niš. Furthermore, she has participated in numerous collective exhibitions and art colonies in Serbia and abroad. Her art consists of landscapes and figure paintings and has received a plethora of rewards throughout the years. Old Greeks treated the female nude paintings as passive beauty while the male nude paintings were presented in action and seen as the embodiment of gods themselves. Erotic female bodies are seen as objects, while erotic male bodies are treated as a sacrifice of epic existence. Erotic male nude paintings seem to have remained the last taboo – they are rarely painted and thus I wish to bravely offer my perception of the topic. The paintings are an act of rebellion against the world that is asleep, resembling an epic scream and action that we gave up on.
