ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Catholic art and Pre Hispanic art inspires me. I hope that whoever sees this painting, may find it to be of healing as many of my paintings are designed to heal from conflict. I chose to paint old master style, because I like creating contemporary archetypes that have the power to heal. I paint the darkness because it symbolizes our consciousness, kinda like when we close our eyes and go to sleep and the imagery emerges out of the darkness to reveal to us sacred messages. I also like the beauty of the body and I feel that this technique of the Great Masters make them come more alive.
