Painting: Airbrush, Acrylic, Oil, Charcoal, Resin on Canvas, Plastic, Wood, Other, Soft (Yarn, Cotton, Fabric).

Painted (mixed media, Oil/acrylic etc.) and drawn from memory of a visit and (long) observational sketches of Roche Abbey. (Christmas day 2018)

Forms and sketchbook work as the angles of the archways and demolished/suppressed former Abbey were noted and retained then used to subscribe and formulate the later canvas. Details of which have been used online previously for other digital designs/'merchandise'.

A choice of ranged pigmentation was aligned to that of 'Sanguine' or the yellowish/ochre type stonework invading every aspect of vision within the field of the canvas.

Materials were also experimented with using plastics/resins, and coloured glazzes and 'surface preparations' to 'enhance brushwork': this LOW QUALITY digital image does not show this.

Research into the Area and Abbey, revealed the stoneworks were re-used or, even, previously found in nearly most structures in the larger area due to the valley being amongst others a natural quarry, for this kind of limestone for many centuries.
