About The Artwork
I have been aiming at portraying human affairs and feelings without representing the human body. I construct narratives through objects, colors and patterns. The title " The floating World " refers to the Buddhist concept Ukiyo which in Japanese means " sorrowful world" and "Floating world". The word relates to the idea of the transient nature of life and the evanescence of the moment.
