Time Alone Painting

"My paintings are a celebration of my life, and I want to share them with others" Anita was born and raised in South Africa. She now lives in Texas. Creating has been part of her life since she can remember. "I paint that which moves me" Nature, Wedding dresses, Ballet tutus, French dresses and Angels. Anita creates original paintings for the Home Décor industry, designers, and private customers. Her family provides balance in her life and they keep her humble. They have always been her inspiration to be a better person and without them, her art would only be a dream. "I am drawn to French décor and lifestyle and the muted romantic colors inspire me to create artwork with similar colors and tones. My passion is to create paintings with flow and emotion and to keep the eye wondering and the mind guessing. Each canvas ends up acquiring it’s own soul". Angels: Anita believes that we all have a guardian angel protecting us. Angels are all around us. When angels visit us, we do not hear the rustle of wings, nor do we feel their feathery touch, but we know of their presence by the love they create in our hearts… Dresses: She is in love with the artistry of dance, ballet and the 18th century fashion. "While I am painting a dress, I can feel myself dancing, I feel freedom, romance and simultaneously experience grace and peace". Abstract Art: Growing up in South Africa, she experienced nature in the all its glory and beauty. Sunsets, sunrises, the bush, the wild animals and the ocean have been burned into her memory. "When I am inspired to create a landscape or contemporary piece, I imagine myself standing on top of a hill of a deserted piece of land or sinking my feet into the white sandy beaches of the ocean". Anita creates simplicity with soft muted colors in order for her clients to experience total peace when they enter a room and look at one of her original paintings.
