This picture started from a figurative image. The figure of a suffering man, crushed on himself, gathered on himself. The surroundings of this presence are hostile and obscure. A hand is visible, the legs are seen to be tight. The lines that travel all over are barbed wire. The theme is about dealing with the dark aspects of life. About the nature’s rage one must fight with.
The picture is painted in acrylic, on cardboard and will be sent wrapped in the box. It is unframed. The painting would be well complemented by a frame in neutral colors: preferably different shades of gray.

I am an artist who deals with the theme of emotions in achromatic or monochrome images, in styles such as abstract expressionism, Impressionism, realism, minimalism and others. The human figure, realistic or transformed, the objects of nature or those invented, all have symbolic value for these states. The lack of color requires a radical asceticism, an austere simplicity in an exuberant sensory world. A reduction in noise, waste of color and easy anecdotes, which invite to meditation and re-examination of the world around us. The sublimation of subtones and valuing insignificant details and undesirable objects, but which are linked to the forgotten essential, all creates a world upside down, that questions. Pointing to values such as compassion and empathy which pay attention to the misery of the world, its sadness, its loneliness, the dumbing of the voice, the lack of freedom and so on.
