About The Artwork

René Cheng started this artwork "Why?" under the invitation to celebrate the 500th anniversary of Leonardo Da Vinci, under the theme: the dehumanization of humanity. René Cheng normally does not like to paint sad or tragic scenes or make political or social statements, but under these regulations, he made an exception.
"Why?" it involves a social and political critique of our times. Where not only a child, but generations, is robbed of his dreams, by greed, war and inequality. Likewise, abandonment, lack of water, love, hygiene and care are reflected. The artist provokes us to reflect, our actions always have an impact. All of René´s artwork, has a Certificate of Authenticity and is copyright registered under the INDAUTOR. All paintings are originals and uniques.
