Landskabt af skrivekridt Står du vintertræ og blomstrer Et abstrakt kunstværk The winter tree came out of a sad feeling after the Turkey/Syrian Earthquake. I worked with the background, and in the proces I realised that the painting would need something in the foreground, and since the current series is Urban forest, a tree emerged with white leaves, maybe because I have been working on some water resource problems related to chalk, limestone, vulnerability and seasonal water cycle. I left it as a winter motif.

I am a Danish hydrologist currently working as a principal investigator and researcher at the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland at Øster Voldgade 10, 1350 in Copenhagen (working in close cooperation with Copenhagen University institute for geology and geography). I am known for my research in the field of hydrogeology, with a focus on groundwater resources and their management, as well as the impact of climate change on groundwater systems. I have published many papers in the international scientific journals, and I am also a member of several scientific organisations.
