bluesman 2 Painting

I was born 1958 in the small Flemish city of Izegem, Belgium. I paint pictures of nature and portraits. My starting points in painting are my deep interest in nature and my consciousness of the living dynamism of the painterly means like colour and light. Roses, imaginary landscapes and trees became important motives in my work. Sometimes polyptiches of these motifs, combined with monochromes, get the images on a more universal level. A certain openness gives the spectator opportunities for own experience and interpretation.
