ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Geribá beach, Armacao dos Buzios, Brazil. The best beach to surfing on Buzios. Amazing waves and sunset! Original Unique (1/1). Methacrylate 60x40x0,5cm. With Certificate of Authenticity issued and signed by the Artist. Printing Pigment Mineral on Photographic Paper Satin Glossy, applied by the front with Silicone in Acrylic Crystal 4mm, with ACM plate on the back and welded aluminum frame, 5cm away from the edges. The original methacrylate production process is called "Diasec" and was developed by Swiss Heinz Sovilla-Brulhart in 1969. According to the registered patent, photographic paper (C-Print) is applied by means of a neutral silicone adhesive in acrylic sheet of excellent quality. I use the same materials and the same Diasec process, as it is still the one that offers the greatest guarantee of durability. There are "Diasec" pieces made in 1969 that are still 49 years after their production, in perfect condition, as evidenced by works currently exhibited in large museums such as MOMA, Tate Gallery, Center Pompidou , or in other collections of the world. I use the best imported photo papers, such as Kodak Professional Endura and Fujicolor Crystal Archive, used in the world's leading photo labs. These provide the widest range of colors and will ensure the best results for the reproduced image. The stability offer of the printed image is state of the art, guaranteeing 200 years in a controlled light environment.

Ordí Calder, Brazilian Contemporary Photographer Self-taught since 2002, full-time artist since 2011. "Ordí Calder is a fine art photographer from Brazil whose focus on the geometric interplay of light and shadow on atomized compositions take us on an arcane quest for the essential components of reality. Until a few months ago, if you were to ask to make a plausible connection between G.W. F. Hegel (a German philosopher whose existence on this earth straddled the 18th and 19th centuries), Fritz Lang (the German Expressionist film maker who gave us “Metropolis” in 1926), and Edward Weston (the American wunderkind of that 1st generation modernist fine art photographers) I’d be hard put to do so. But that was prior to encountering Ordi’s body of work. Today, the task is easy." by Jonathan Raddatz. Jonathan is a painter, writer and scholar specializing in the religious and philosophical landscape of Late Antiquity. www.jeraddatz.com See more at http://www.artexhibeo.com/ordi-calder-existential-poetry-in-pictures/ _____________ Original Photography 1/1 Sole Exclusive Printed on Canvas Canson with Vivera Inks at Epson K3*.
