Dream of White Dog is built up in four colour etching plates. Beginning with yellow, the plate is carefully registered on the bed so that following plates can be slotted into place on the etching press.
The second plate is inked up in magenta etching ink and printed directly over the yellow.
Yellow and magenta are followed by cyan and the final plate is inked up in black - also known as the 'key' colour; hence cmyk. With careful registration and colour balancing these four inks combine to give the effect of a full colour image

This image is taken from found 1970s super-8 film. Scanned with a Leitz Aristophot, the unique film grain and incidental marks are preserved. The image was divided into four colours; cyan, magenta, yellow and black and a photo etching plate made for each colour. When combined the four colours plates give the impression of a full colour image. Printed on German Hahnemuhle etching paper with highest quality etching inks in the intaglio style. From the 'I Make Yours, You Make Mine' exhibition, Jyvaskyla, Finland.

He makes work in a variety of different media. His work is in a number of important collections including that of the National Gallery of Ireland in Dublin.
