Gennaro Cicalese, "migrant" painter, lives and works in Milano (Italy) around his idea of "post-Fluxus painting". Born in 1964 he studied Paintings at Fine Arts Academy of Naples, then joined connections with alternative art spaces and artists in Berlin, Naples and Cologne, also performing with american Fluxus master Al Hansen. In 1990 he settled in Milano developing his own style between painting and intermedia action, useing collage, oil, installation, assemblage, digital painting, etc. He realized various solo exhibitions and group shows and partecipated to some international cultural projects. His paintings are in some prestigeous european and american collections and appear on: Titolo, Interni, Flash Art, Juliet, Vogue, Kunstforum, Amica, il Corriere della Sera, etc. Cicalese's work mixing Pop, Naive, Conceptual and Fluxus influences, pais attention to contemporary media-filled reality with a signatory touch of irony.
