About The Artwork
The Harlequin series is inspired by the place I call home, namely Johannesburg which is a harsh, violent, vibrant and multicultural city. The image of the harlequin is from my photograph of street artist in France that I adapted to my life experience. The dry point series took 3 years to complete and contains symbols of states of mind of fear, innocence, and memory.
