Bush, Tree, Plant with Spiral Ribbons for Leaves Sculpture

Large sculpture of a bush or tree. The leaves are hammered (forged) pieces of steel that have flats on different planes which are then spiraled into shape, each one unique and different. The branches are forged into a taper while also creating a spiral pattern hammered into the material, then the bars are also spiraled into shape. The entire sculpture is welded together, and ground to take down sharp edges, and make the smooth transitions. This is the only mid level size sculpture that I made in this series. the other mid level size pieces, do not have the leaves on the tips. Great balance on this piece. Really make a statement with this piece in your yard, especially if you live in the winter blessed regions of the world, so you may always have a green tree in your yard besides pines. Birds love them, other animals might too, I don't know, but the proceeds of the sale goes to someone who cares about the environment, and the organisms in our ecosystems, even humans though they really screw things up for all the other earthlings most of the time. We must have compassion for the idiots. I personally have a very low tolerance level for stupid people, but I still love them all the same, and hope they become more educated somehow.
