About The Artwork

"Unique artwork for indoor and outdoor. This beautiful sculpture, carved from exotic African umbila wood in a circular form, tells the story of Flower of the River. Once upon a time, in a distant land, there were two African tribes separated by a mighty river. Queen Amina, wise and visionary, decided it was time to unite these communities. With great determination, Queen Amina undertook the construction of a bridge over the river that divided the tribes. With diplomatic skill, she brought the tribe leaders together for a common purpose: to strengthen the ties between their people. The tribes began to understand and appreciate the richness each brought. The river, once a barrier, now became a symbol of connection and unity.Sadly, Queen Amina passed away, but her legacy endured. In her honor, the tribes decided to lay her body at the river's bottom, the source of their unity. To everyone's surprise, days after the ritual, a beautiful and immense flower emerged from the waters, surrounded by a profusion of smaller blossoms. This extraordinary manifestation of nature was seen as a sign that Queen Amina's spirit continued to strengthen the bonds between the tribes, even beyond death. The submerged flowers became a sacred site, and the communities began to celebrate together annually, marking the rebirth of their fraternal relations. Thus, the tale of Queen Amina and the incredible blossoming in the river serves as a constant reminder that unity and mutual understanding can overcome divisions, creating an environment of lasting peace and prosperity among once-separated peoples. Purchase the Flower of the River sculpture and bring the memory of unity and a beautiful wall sculpture to your home, office, or commercial center. The piece is ready to be hung unframed, but you have the option to frame it yourself with a frame that fits your environment, adding sophistication and beauty to the sculpture.
