Large soft sculpture made of artisan felt inspired by processes of growth and reproduction. Subtile detalis of hair and thread. This piece is created by felting natural colored high quality merino wool. Felt is a soft, strong non woven cloth that is produced by matting, condensing and pressing wool fibres. It's a labor intensive process that takes a lot of time and patience. My work focuses mainly on processes of growth and decay, and through this identifies the vulnerability of nature and humankind. On the basis of growth and degradation processes, my work focuses on aspects of nature that also take place in society. I am known for my tactile approach, playing with texture, experimental techniques and organic shapes. The visual language in the work calls for associations and remains open to the viewer's interpretations and imagination.
