Andrej Mratinković was born in 1984 in a town Celje in Slovenia. He graduated at the Department of Fine Arts at University of Maribor in 2011. When he decided to study fine art, he quickly came to realize that his work will also be to deeply analyze all the components that will give him an artwork that he truly strive for; and for that he would need a lot of exploration, experimentation and experience. A turning point in his artistic development was the discovery of artworks by sculptor Mirsad Begić, who inspired him with his incredible work, personal mythology and introduced him to natural materials, especially "coffee". Mratinković's main fields of creativity are drawing, painting, small sculptures, digital art and graphic design. His art work is often linked with concepts like: imagination, primacy, archaism, mysteriousness, mysticism and poetics.
