About The Artwork
The leitmotif of the latest series of works was the aesthetics of computer simulation errors. The so-called “shifted” textures, when due to a system error the texture of one object is “stretched” onto another, not suited for this texture at all. The computer creates errors, and the person interprets them as something creative and meaningful. Combining manual labor when creating objects and printing a special printer for volumetric surfaces, the author is integrated into the technological scheme of creation, like its other technical elements.

Born in 1988 in USSR. Alexey Gromov lived in Saint Petersburg and has his base in Moscow now. He studied Monumental Sculpture program in Academy of Art Industry in Saint Petersburg and finished with a Diploma in 2012. Also Alexey studied in Kunsthochschule Berlin Weissensee(KHB) in 2010-2011.
