Born in in 1956 Thesselonika, Greece and moved to the United States at the age of 11. Coming to a strange new land in which left me with much to discover, much to learn. Reading through the Sears catalogue, I taught myself how to speak English. I push my self to explore, learn, and grow. Mostly, self taught, my inspiration comes from within. My art represents an outward expression of life's experiences.
In visits to Italy, I worked on marble sculpture restoration. Around 1999, I opened Siri Stone Carving studio Chicago where we created and taught students to explore this expression. I have participated in art restoration in Greece and joined many art exhibits in oil painting, public art, and sculptures in Chicago and Greece. I have studied the method in large scale sculpting, Iconagrafy at St George in Indiana and have worked in metal sculptures welding moulding and making Bronze
Self taught with skills in sculpture, oils, metal, mosaic, and marble. Although, I am mostly self taught, I explored charcoal drawing at the Art Institute as a teenager, partnered with different artist and studied in numerous studios throughout my life. I continue to perfect and grow my craft.
