Blake Jamieson

After college, I began my career in digital marketing. I helped brands differentiate themselves using social media and content marketing. After 7 years in the industry, I decided it was time to make a change. I wanted to stop working towards someone else's dream, and start pursuing my own.

I've been an artist my entire life, but it was not until early 2016 that I began painting full-time. During a trip to Barcelona, Spain early that year, I was heavily influenced by the rich street art scene there. Fortunately my hostel was next to an art supply store, so I began spending my days there cutting stencils on the rooftop, and spent my nights painting on the streets.

When I returned to the US, I knew that I had to keep painting. I converted a barn stall into a painting studio at my house, and got to work.

I primarily paint portraits using stencils and spray paint, but am starting to explore other mediums. My favorite artists are Shepard Fairey and Andy Warhol, and can see their influence in my own work. I admire both their art and their marketing abilities.
