b. 1952 Missouri, USA. Chris Randall took his first photograph when he was 6 years old, using a Kodak Brownie, just a year after he had painted a self-portrait. He has not stopped creating since then. Over the next many years his creative outpouring would include color pencil, pastels, mixed media, floor design using tile as a medium, stained glass windows, large outdoor murals, big abstract paintings, and always along the way"”photography.
His paintings and mixed media work, for which he was known in the late 1980s and early 1990s, are in a number of private collections. The rekindling of his photographic work began in 2007. Armed with a new digital camera, he went on a cross-country road trip from New York to Santa Fe and back, finding inspiration, beauty and insightful imagery that only his eye can detect. And even in this digital and computer age, he has been determined that his photographs use existing light and are not manipulated in any way "” virgin captures he calls them.
Chris Randall lives in New York City, but shoots everywhere he travels.
