David Mac Innes

Worked in Cleveland,OH, Pittsburgh, PA and New York City as an Art Director/Designer, and Art Supervisor. I'm a firm believer in the cross-fertilization of ideas and creative inspiration to be gained by working in both the 'fine' and 'applied arts' fields. The ability to communicate is primary in the 'applied" arts areas. With the art that is spelled with a capital "A" -if you will-it is my attempt to bring a uniquely personal vision to life. It is a great pleasure and responsibility no matter what the media. By both design and inclination, my work doesn't carry a 'signature' style' or identification with a specific movement-which allows me greater leeway in pursuing what I perceive as new avenues of creative invention. Hopefully, my head, heart and hands will be on good talking terms with each other.My traditional training has evolved to where my present work is primarily abstract. Currently I am combining elements of painting, monoprint, drawing,photography and digital and video sources to arrive at the final image.
