Detail of autumn foliage in the Passo del Bocco areas at almost a thousand meters above sea level. In the autumn period the trees take on a magical color that you cannot help but photograph. Even though autumn is a little melancholy, these colors put you in a good mood.

I was born in Catania in 1967. I moved to Liguria for work in 2005, eventually settling in Rapallo, where I now live. My self-taught photography journey began in 1997. Over time, I attended advanced courses and workshops. During these years dedicated to photography, I gained experience across various genres, with a particular interest in street photography, reportage, and conceptual photography with introspective references. In 2015, I joined ISP – Italian Street Photography. Thanks to various personal activities and those with ISP, Street Hunters included me in the short list of the 20 most influential street photographers of 2016. In 2017, I participated in the “1st Edition of the Triennale della Fotografia Italiana – Fondazione Arte Contemporanea,” held in Venice in the splendid location of Palazzo Cà Zenobio. In 2022, I was admitted to the S.A.C.S. Archive, the Contemporary Art Office of Sicily at the Regional Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Palermo. In 2025, I was awarded the honor of "Benemerito della Fotografia Italiana" by the Italian Federation of Photographic Associations. I occasionally contribute to Secolo XIX and other online publications. Pippo Pappalardo, a historian and critic from Catania, describes me as follows: "His seemingly instinctive and immediate way of photographing is, in fact, a tool for researching the space and time of what he likes to call the photographic soul. Through photography, he conducts a true psychological investigation of himself."
