Contemplating choices Painting

Charles Osaro is a Nigerian contemporary portrait artist based in lagos Nigeria. My portrait are inspired by personal and collective experiences which reflect time and seasons. My choice of subject helps me project our emotions and thought which mostime are our current reality. As I paint, I'm constantly searching for meanings of every face and this meanings mostly come from my environment. Either through music, films, or just having a mere discussion with people and also my current state of mind. I feel as an artist your duty is to reflect the times and seasons you find yourself, and the most effective way i can project this is through capturing of different faces because each face carries its own unique story and by this means, i can tell my truth.My paintings takes us through the lens of the past, present and future.
