Kerry Cannon is a bronze sculptor born in Denver in 1958. He moved to Australia in 1995 and became an Australian citizen in 2003. In Australia, he decided that sink or swim he was going to do something he enjoyed for the rest of his life and that was going to be art. He created his first bronze in 1996 and has stuck with it. His work is figurative and narrative. It is strongly influenced by comics and uses sculptures to tell stories. He shows annually in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria in Australia and overseas. He has shown in China, Japan, Italy, England and the United States.

Kerry considers himself an outsider in the art world. He did not go to art school, but studied Forestry earning a BS in Forest Management science (1981) and later an MBA in Finance (1987). He keeps up with the sculpture world by attending ISC symposiums: Miami 2013, Phoenix 2015, Kansas City 2017, Portland 2019. In 2002, he participated in a 5 day course Drawing from Anatomical Specimens at the University of New South Wales in Sydney. And in 2023, an ISC 5 day sculpture tour of Mexico City. Most of his sculpture education was practical through working with the same bronze foundry for over 30 years in Australia. Working at the foundry, Kerry observed many sculptors' works from classical to modern and all the different techniques and philosophies that contributed to their individual styles.

Some of his significant solo exhibitions are 2021 "A Happy Life; An Unhappy Life", The Nave Museum, Victoria, Texas USA, 2013 "Alchemy", BoMOCA, Boulder, Colorado USA and 2003 "The Tiger Club", Castlemaine State Festival, Victoria, Australia. Group shows include: Swell 2006 and 2012, Queensland, Australia; University of Western Sydney 2008; The Shanghai Art Fair 2007; Florence Biennale 2005.
