Born in Scotland but shaped by a life of exploration, my journey to becoming a professional artist has been anything but conventional. Before dedicating myself to art, I worked in a reconnaissance and protection role as a operative for a private military company, where success depended on attention to detail, an intuitive understanding of people, environments, and the ability to adapt quickly—skills that now enrich my artistic practice.

Today, I travel the globe, often to the most remote wildernesses, creating art that connects deeply with the environments I explore. Specializing in traditional Japanese sumi ink painting, I combine ancient techniques with local water sources—from mountain streams to desert springs—to create works that are intrinsically tied to the places they depict. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of studying under Japanese masters, honing my craft and deepening my appreciation for this timeless medium.
