My work is about perception and allusion. If what surrounds me - the world, nature, music - is the starting point, my work is an emotional interpretation of it. My large formats lead us into a physical experience of sensation and landscape.

The eye penetrates and wonders across the canvas where the pulsating colours make us lose our bearings: are we looking at a point of detail or a wider vision, a plant or something else? Is it real or just our imagination? There is no definitive answer so we are unsure. By immersing oneself in the picture and overlaying it with one's own emotions, the viewer creates something new which is both introspective and personal.
