Born on 15 June 1929 in Jabalpur and passed away on 25 October 2007 in Indore.
Illustrated the original CONSTITUTION OF REPUBLIC OF INDIA in 1949.
Illustrated the panels of the historic Kalyani session of Congress in 1954 presided by Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru who greatly admired all his works.
Also executed several extensive and intricate murals in Vishwa Bharati Santiniketan in 1950 and Martyr Memorial 'Shaheed-Smarak' in 1952.
Works represented in numerous public and private galleries throughout the world. These include British Museum (London, UK), Victoria and Albert Museum (London, UK), Tate Gallery, Commonwealth Institute (London, UK), Kenderdine Gallery (Saskatchewan, Canada), Museum of British Empire (Bristol, UK), China Central Academy of Fine Arts (Beijing, PRC), Presidential Palace (New Delhi, India), Barber Institute of Fine Arts (Birmingham, UK), AAFC Federal Government of Canada (Saskatoon, Canada), Organization for International Spiritual and Cultural Advancement (Osaka, Japan), etc.
Awarded with the national honour 'Kala Shree' in 2001 and the highest honour 'Shikhar Samman' in 1991.
