Palak Modi is an aspiring artist from Gurgaon, Haryana. In 2019, her artworks were displayed at her solo art exhibition called, “Definitely, Maybe” at Galerie Romain Rolland, Lodhi Road. Her artworks display an array of eclectic painting styles in different mediums. The overarching theme for her work is contemporary - abstract. Her works are reflections of the rudimental forms of nature, inviting the viewer to move into a space of speculation, perhaps unexplored territories. The organic forms that she tries to capture in her art intend to create intriguing cycles of thoughts, thereby, allowing the onlooker to challenge one’s perceptions and assumptions. Through her work, viewers can expect to see a strong interplay of Minimalism and Social Constructivism to explore the endless possibilities of contemporary art that shape our world.
With a passion for art running through her veins from an early age, she seeks to pour out her fantastical ideas with a palette that stretches far beyond mere paint. Looking for avenues of the unexpected, the use of materials in her works is calculated and is greatly influenced by their subject matter.
