Aggela Kougli is an abstract painter. She has worked for over 20 years as a Graphic Designer and an Art Director in advertising firms and magazines in Athens, Greece. This field of interest and work, however, completed its cycle and her art studio, situated in the historic area of Psiri over the past few years, is the beginning of a new one... She believes that painting, as well as all forms of art, is a "window" into our soul, a window of expression and feeling.
Her main material is acrylic, but experimentation and the constant discovery of new techniques and textures are a key part of her creation.
She signs her works as AKOU (her initials) which is the greek word for "listen"... to whatever you long to hear by what you are looking at... to your own "window".
Her work has been exhibited in many countries all over the world.
