Fabrizio “Brarez” Barachino (b. 1980, Spilimbergo) develops an abstract painting practice oriented towards translating thought into matter.
Self-taught, he builds his visual language through continuous observation, experimentation, and practice. Working with paper, canvas, acrylic, collage, and gel printing, his focus lies on the relationship between mark, surface, and composition.
In his research, he acknowledges the influence of Italian Informale, particularly figures such as Vedova, Celiberti, Basaldella, and Tàpies, absorbing them as cultural touchstones rather than formal templates.
Alongside his physical production, he embraces a digital dimension, hosting selected works on the Tezos blockchain as a means of certification, memory, and permanence.
His practice investigates the trace, unstable balance, and imperfection as central elements of painting, which he conceives as a space of presence, duration, and relationship with time.
