My artistic journey is deeply rooted in a life shaped by cultural diversity, travel, meaningful encounters, and a careful observation of the world around me. Each work I create is a synthesis of my lived experiences in various countries, the richness of nature, the impressions left by places I’ve visited, and the deep emotions stirred by moments of contemplation or everyday life. I work primarily in the realm of abstraction, but without ever abandoning figuration. My approach seeks to create a dialogue between these two worlds, exploring their duality and complementarity. Abstraction allows me greater expressive freedom, while figuration occasionally emerges as an imprint of reality, an emotional or symbolic reference point. My palette is bold, dominated by vibrant and intense colors, reflecting vital energy, the impulses of the heart, and the turmoil of the soul. Movement is omnipresent: broad gestures, rich and varied textures, and layered colors create a dynamic visual rhythm and an almost tactile depth. I use various media — oil, acrylic, ink, alcohol, collage, metal leaf, fabrics, modeling paste — in a mixed media approach that enables me to convey the complexity of emotion and memory. Texture is essential in my work. It is never decorative: it embodies lived experience, the layers of time, scars, and traces. Every material I integrate carries meaning, whether it’s a piece of fabric brought back from a trip, a paper fragment, or a specific pigment evoking a light or a place. Creating, for me, means diving into the unknown, following an inner impulse, expressing an emotion or thought without freezing it. It is a sincere exchange between my inner world and the external world. Painting then becomes a meditative and liberating process, a different way of existing, capturing the moment between feeling and form. I enjoy playing with the balance between chaos and control, instinct and reflection, accident and composition. I strive to make the ordinary extraordinary, to elevate a detail, a sensation, a memory. I use varied techniques: I brush, scratch, sand, pour, spread... always in search of the right balance between light, material, and gesture. As an artist, I want my works to challenge, move, and provoke an inner dialogue in the viewer. My work is not an end in itself, but a bridge between myself and others, an invitation to feel, to contemplate, to question. I am a member of RAAV and other active artistic associations.
