Kamonn J

KAMONN is a self-taught French painter born in 1998, with roots in the Auvergne deeply embedded in his vision. He develops a dense and instinctive landscape painting — layers built up with a palette knife, bold colors, masses that clash and resolve. His work is born of immersion: scenes of life caught in their immediacy, the light of the everyday, the silence of wide open spaces. What KAMONN seeks in painting is a return to the primary — to raw reality, to first sensation, to what exists before language.
Through his art, he advocates for a life rooted in nature and attuned to oneself — stripped of excess, attentive to the rhythms of the living world. A resident in 2026 at the Cité internationale des arts in Paris with the support of the city of Asnières-sur-Seine, KAMONN continues an œuvre shaped by travel and presence. His recent exhibitions have taken him to Paris, Lyon and Brussels between 2023 and 2025, establishing a singular voice within the landscape of contemporary painting.
