With this artwork, I emphasised sensations and emotions rather than a faithful representation of reality. His style is very evocative of abstract impressionism. This abstract canvas has vibrant yet soft colours. The dominant hues are blues and greens, which blend harmoniously to create a serene, dre...

“Today, my artwork is recognised for its sensitive approach to colour. Whether I’m creating abstract compositions or semi-abstract landscapes, my primary aim is to convey an emotion. My works invite you to contemplate, feel and let your imagination run free.” My artwork centres on two main areas: abstract painting and semi-abstract landscape. My artwork invite a free and intuitive interpretation, blending emotion, contemplation and poetic immersion. An obsession with colour has developed over the course of my career, and has now become the heart of my artistic approach. For over seven years, I have been exploring chromatic nuances and harmonies, developing a unique style based on a great freedom of experimentation. Colours are composed and chosen with particular care, selected for the harmony they will create. Some are applied in successive glazes to create depth and transparency, whilst others are applied with a palette knife or spatula to add texture, contrast and energy. I also sometimes incorporate elements such as sand or marble powder, which lend a distinctive texture. As a passionate self-taught artist, I have developed my practice through the study of art history, painting techniques and colour theory. Painting has become a language for me, a means of expressing emotion and creating poetry open to everyone’s interpretation. During my childhood, I was lucky enough to live near Auvers-sur-Oise, the birthplace of Impressionism. Immersed in the influences of Van Gogh and Pissarro, it was there that my interest in art and colour was born. My inspiration comes from nature, music, a film or even a conversation. My studio is located in Le Perray-en-Yvelines, south of Yvelines, 50 km from Paris.
