Finn Astle is an exhibiting artist, published creative writer, and film director. His practice captures layers of meaning from brands, slogans, pop culture, and the human zeitgeist. Believing nothing is original—only references layered upon references—he brings past and future together in a quasi-religious context. By separating imagery and re-creating new meaning, Finn illustrates our ability to master our universes.
His work spans collage, illustration, animation, and film. Finn has exhibited at the Victorian College of the Arts, Collingwood Yards, That Paper Joint, Testing Grounds, and King’s ARI. Internationally, his films have screened in Beijing, Inner Mongolia, and India. His art is also included in Absolut Vodka’s Saatchi Art collection and private collections across Australia.
