"Painting has always been an essential part of who I am. As far back as I can remember I have been fascinated and inspired by the forms and colors of nature. I work from the conventional observation of a place but my landscapes are definitely reinvented realities. Both the abstract works and the landscapes explore the drama between the light and dark of the outside world and that within."


The tradition I follow is ancient, deeply rooted in Thracian art in Bulgaria, the Bulgarian Renaissance (a century before Giotto... - the Boyan Church), the art, dedication and example of Vladimir Dimitrov - the Master, my unsurpassed contemporary compatriot, Christo Vladimirov Javacheff - Christo, with whom I have the honor of having graduated from the same Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia... Also the Bulgarian Artists Georges Papazov, Jules Paskin... as well as the magnificent and unsurpassed Canadian artists from the Group of Seven... A tradition that obliges. My most favorite artist is undoubtedly Van Gogh.
