Maria Martin – Intuitive Color Harmonies and Expressive Landscapes
My paintings navigate the tension between two worlds — the precise, reserved culture of Switzerland where I live and work, and the expressive, light-saturated landscapes of my Spanish roots. That friction is not a problem I solve; it is what drives the work.
I paint atmospheric landscapes, coastlines, and horizons — not as documentation of places, but as emotional territories. Layered acrylic and collage, built up until the image finds its own silence.
Based in Basel, represented by Gallery justBEE. Works in private collections across Europe.
