Riaz Samadhan

Artist's Statement-

I am Riaz Samadhan, a visual artist residing in Mumbai, India. I work within the genre of landscape, conceptual, figurative, still life and abstraction. I delve simultaneously between these genres.

Reading an image of Realism or Abstract has a similar psychological impact, it emerges from the same synthesis, their peripheral physiognomy might impart different accounts, this intriguing dichotomy presents itself as an impetus for me, which unrolls me up for both sides.

My reflection on Abstracts –

Two colliding images give birth to a new entity, which has its own formal as well as psychological expanse. It dwells on the periphery of known and unknown. One observes these entities non-biasedly as they emerge and animate themselves in the process, where the doer gets transformed into a mere ‘presence’.
