Jean-Luc Moerman is a contemporary Belgian artist known for his unique graphic language — organic, flowing lines inspired by tattoo art, anatomy, and urban culture. His work explores the body, surface, and identity through a wide range of media, from canvas and walls to cars, sculptures, and porcelain. Moerman’s visual universe is bold, rhythmic, and instantly recognizable.
Autodidact. Jean-Luc Moerman developed his practice outside traditional academic frameworks, building a deeply personal and instinctive visual language rooted in observation, street aesthetics, and organic forms.
Moerman has exhibited at MUDAM (Luxembourg), La Maison Rouge (Paris), Musée d’Ixelles (Brussels), Kunsthalle Krems (Austria), MoCA Shanghai, BPS22 (Belgium), and Art Basel (Art Unlimited). Recent solo shows include “Modes of Existence” (2022, Pascal Janssens Gallery, Ghent) and “Ligne de Vie” (2021, Brussels).
