Linda Frances Monk

I have a passion for all animal life; a respect for the conservation and protection of all wildlife, and wish, through my work to encourage others to appreciate the beauty in our natural world. My fascination with animals in their natural habitat inspired me to experiment with bronze and to study at the Sculpture Foundry in Birmingham. I particularly champions foxes and hares and strive to portray their vulnerability, accentuating their natural beauty and elegance.

I trained as a dress designer and spent some time in London working with some of Britain’s major designers. After spending some years designing costumes mostly for theatre and the music industry, my love for wildlife started to show in my designs. This fascination ultimately lead me to develop my skills as a sculptor. I gained experience in bronze casting and now have a foundry which produces my work.

I exhibit my work in galleries in the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States.
