Courtney Davis Haze is an emerging abstract artist whose work explores emotion, movement, and the ever-changing nature of perception. A former ballerina and longtime creative, she found her artistic voice after leaving dance, using bold colors and dynamic compositions to evoke personal and universal meaning. After a decade in NYC, she now creates in Oklahoma City, bringing fresh energy to the contemporary art scene. Before becoming a full-time artist, Courtney’s creative expression took another form—dance. A classically trained ballerina, Courtney grew up spending her summers in New York City studying dance with renowned companies such as the American Ballet Theatre, before an injury shifted her path. That love for movement, rhythm, and storytelling never left her, though, and after earning her degree, she returned to NYC to pursue a creative career in brand marketing, working with world-renowned brands like Tiffany & Co., Random House, and Scholastic. While in New York, she also wrote and illustrated B is for Boss Lady, a children’s book celebrating powerful, trailblazing women. That passion for storytelling now finds its way into her paintings—each piece a narrative of color, energy, and emotion. Now based in Oklahoma City, Courtney brings a fresh energy and artistic voice to her new surroundings, always accompanied by her tiny dog, Twinkle. She strives to create art that sparks curiosity, invites exploration, and fosters meaningful connections.
