Jonathan Morrill is a Hollywood-based artist.

Jonathan Morrill creates artwork that is merely a potpourri
of what God, motion pictures, and Mother Nature
have already produced.
Newmarket, New Hampshire,
Provincetown, Massachusetts,
Saint Petersburg, Florida, and Hollywood, California,
are the four major locations where Jonathan Morrill
has studied and honed his illustrative abilities.

His acrylic works of many a tinsel-town icon have graced the walls of La-La Land's great haunts,
including Hollywood Forever Cemetery
and The Hollywood Wax Museum.

His Hollywood Icon portraits are exhibited at

The Carter-Sexton Gallery in North Hollywood,
The Art Parlor in North Hollywood,
Crafted in the Port of Los Angeles,

Jonathan Morrill creates work born out of
intense concentration and effortless thoughtlessne...

Jonathan Morrill's natural-born illustrative
and creative abilities have always been supported
by his family, friends, and teachers,
as far back as he can remember.

One of the first encouragements began when he was
in the third grade at Newmarket Elementary School,
was with the Holt Reinhart and Company's recognition of Jonathan's illustrations for a class science project entitled "Reptiles and Amphibians".
The New York publishing firm's corresponded with Morrill through the faculty at
Newmarket Elementary School,
and Jonathan received letters, and instructional books on light and color and techniques related to illustrating.
It was around this time when Jonathan began illustrating for the Newmarket Times,
with a weekly comic strip.
Throughout his Junior and Senior High School career, Jonathan won many area contests and awards for illustrations that covered most high school events, yearbooks, theatre groups, and even local businesses.

"Fear & Loathing in Newmarket"
Jonathan Morrill's solo exhibition, returning to his hometown of Newmarket, New Hampshire, after 25 years in Hollywood, California.
21 acrylic paintings depict various creepy New England scenes, primarily from the 1970's. The exhibition was displayed from October 1st through October 31st, 2017, at Crackskulls Book & Coffee Shop, Main Street, Newmarket, N.ew Hampshire.

Creature Feature Gallery in Burbank, California,
has curated Jonathan Morrill's work in various group shows throughout the years,
Beginning in 2014 with the 60th anniversary
group art show paying tribute to
"The Creature From The Black Lagoon".
Other group exhibitions include
"We Wish You A Merry Krampus",(2015)
"Godzilla All Art Attack 2",(2016), and
"The Art of King Kong", (2017),
in which three of his original acrylics were accepted.
