Nathan Jones

Nathan Jones is a London-based painter. He works mostly in oils, and the key themes his works address focus on notions of authenticity – slippages between the real and fake, inconsistencies in memory, theatrical illusion, and questioning ‘The Natural’ in landscape. Alongside these interests, there is a continuing and vigorous exploration of the medium of oil paint itself. He exhibits regularly and has twice been included in The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition (2016 & 2014), London. He gained an MA in Fine Art: Painting from Wimbledon School of Art in 2004.
