I love the color blue, simply put. Blue tends to make me feel calm and relaxed and I think that’s why I made this Blue collection, it was so relaxing. I’ve been drawing since I was a kid but I never took art seriously until about two years ago. Two years ago I did a drawing that was more than my normal mediocre sketches and it inspired me to actually practice art. I started painting a few days later, and failed. Miserably. I kept trying and I was able to sell one of my first paintings on eBay for $7, taking a $5 loss on it. I was pretty proud of it though, it was the first piece of mine I ever sold, and I realized that I have to start somewhere. Since then I’ve continued to paint without any direction to go in, until I met a boutique shop owner in Cincinnati who invited me to show my work at her store for an event. She told me to create a collection as big as I can. So I did. I started working on my “Blue Series” in the beginning of January, 2018. The series is focused on making large, calming, abstract style, blue paintings. While I was working on that series, I regularly posted my updates on Instagram. As that was going on I was contacted by an Art director and recruiter for a large international art organization. He told me he wanted me to participate in a show during the summer time. I was flattered and agreed to do the show. I just finished the show a few weeks ago and I’ve been invited to do two more shows. Right now I’m still focusing on the first show to display and sell my “Blue Series”. On the side I’m working with different types of styles including abstract, abstract expressionism, Impressionism, pop art, and polka trash. I typically paint with acrylic on canvas, but I sometimes work with watercolors also. H
