Mieke Van Os

Mieke van Os is a versatile artist. Her oeuvre knows few creative boundaries and includes paintings, sculptures and installations. Surprising in colour, texture and use of materials.
The works vary from figurative to abstract. There are no fixed genres, styles or themes, but there is a common thread: making the future of the world more beautiful together and for each other; from person to person and from person to nature. How wonderful it is when things in life take a turn for the better. Optimistic works with a deeper layer of meaning: glow & grow!

Van Os gives a contemporary twist to classical themes and ideas also arise from the creative process itself. With her idiosyncratic use of materials and unique colour palette, she gives her work individuality and recognisability. At first glance, her work is very diverse, but when you look: true Mieke's.

Mieke van Os completed two professional art courses later in life. In Tilburg, she studied at the Academy of The Arts, where she also obtained a teaching qualification. (Bachelor Fine Arts and Design in Education, EQF6, 2010 - 2014) At the North Limburg Academy of Art, she completed the Higher Degree Sculpturing (EQF5, 2017- 2021) and specialised in Sculpture, is following the Higher End Painting course and is also affiliated with the Project Studio in mixed media.
