Pagi (Philipp Ágnes) – Hungarian watercolor artist
My name is Pagi, a Hungarian watercolor artist.
I do not simply paint – I create layers of memory and atmosphere. Each brushstroke carries fragments of the past: the scent of an old house, the silence of a rural interior, the patina of walls and glass.
My style is expressive lyrical realism – rooted in reality, softened into remembrance.
I am drawn to worn textures, blurred lights, and layered surfaces, because they hold the essence of time and presence.
My works are not decoration but stories, like forgotten novels retold in color.
I developed my own technique, Color Glide Layering, where colors do not just mix but glide into each other, like memories blending as the past slips into the present. Occasionally I add gouache highlights or scratching, restoring surfaces with their time-etched patina.
Through this, I aim to open a timeless window into the soul’s dwelling – where texture, color, and memory become one.
Because in my world, every memory still lives – it has only become silence, waiting to be found again.
My vision is to paint not the visible, but the felt – the quiet conversation between stone and light, where time itself breathes.
My works and personal stories have...
