Marissa Jeffcoat

Marissa Jeffcoat, was born April 13th, 1989 in Dallas, Texas. She has studied dance since the young age of 2 and still dances today, studying under Kitty Carter for most of her years. She graduated from Carrollton Christian Academy in 2007 and went on to received a BFA in Painting at the Savannah College of Art and Design. She currently resides in Savannah, Georgia but is planning on continuing her art career in New York City for the next few years.
She currently is interested in the concepts of bodily motion fused with the reaction that occurs through space onto the surface of her works. Hoping to expel on the subject of space created through the body, Jeffcoat is planning on beginning a new series within the next 4 months.
